NOA Clip

Clip (Command Line Interface Processor) is a generic interface for the integration, as well as the automation of 3rd party applications into NOA’s N6000 and mediARC systems.

Working with different systems can be time-consuming and tedious. The answer to this comes in one word: simplify. And NOA has done just that with CLIP.
Not only will CLIP reduce the number of individual systems a customer uses: it´s also cost effective, providing a much-needed automated procedure that incorporates existing archive material as well as new.
For instance CLIP will take care of pre-defined batch processes running unattended - format conversions, post-processing tasks like signal restoration, generation of access copies and assets scheduled for re-purposing. It also offers all NOA workflow options including job control, success audit and metadata annotation. In fact CLIP can work with any executable that has a command line interface. You can use it in the digitisation and workflow environments of either the N6000/JobDatabase or mediARC systems.

Thou shalt not re-invent the wheel
NOA Audio Solutions takes this commandment very seriously. That’s why CLIP has been designed to build a bridge between third party applications and the NOA core systems; a simple link.
This applies to specific signal processing tasks, and the annotation of archive objects from proprietary data services. Among other things, it will be useful for the automation and integration of audio and video signal processes. You could use a single-ended noise reduction tool, as well as your favourite dynamics processor, and, of course, an “any to any” file format converter.
NOA has teamed up with no less a partner than signal restoration specialist CEDAR. CEDAR has proven expertise in easy to use, yet stunning restoration processes, qualities that compliment NOA’s leadership in audio workflows.
The products available for CLIP are:

• a CEDAR® Declick process
• a CEDAR® Dehiss process

Longevity, another issue, is satisfied by CLIP’s license model. There won’t be a license fee but NOA is offering a commercial service that will integrate and support the smooth running of the child processes. And CLIP will be available to all NOA customers.
The result? Your life made easier.
