The N6035A Optical Tape Analysis Module is a unique analysis tool for tape recordings, using advanced transparency analysis to recognise different colours and scratches, as well as magnetic layer loss. The N6035A connects to the N6232A card and detects changes in lighting status of the RGB by performing a very fast 3-colour lighting sequence right within the hardware. This allows for specific status detection even at 76 cm/s. The information can be used for purposes such as track splitting of masters as well as for consistent archive description.
